Aurora College celebrates 68 adult learners from across the NWT
Northwest Territories – Over the past few weeks, Aurora College’s School of Developmental Studies has held completion ceremonies to celebrate the success of 68 adult learners in Adult Literacy and Basic Education (ALBE), Occupations and College Access (OCAP) and University and College Access (UCAP) programs at Yellowknife North Slave Campus (May 31), Thebacha Campus (June 6) and Aurora Campus (June 13).
A total of 33 learners were recognized in ALBE, 14 in OCAP and 21 in UCAP. OCAP and UCAP are one-year programs that prepare learners to enter a variety of Aurora College post-secondary and trades programs. In addition, three learners completed all of the requirements for their NWT Secondary School Graduation Diploma through their Aurora College studies. Learners came from 23 NWT communities and two provinces.
A number of students were honoured with awards. A full list of award winners is attached.
Applications for fall 2024 Aurora College programs are open online until June 30.
